There are 2 pathways you can climb the Sri Paada muntain from the Villa
1-Erathna Route: About 10Km from the Villa (from a vehicle). then, 16km to the top (trek through the jungle)
2-Sri Palabaddala Route(Kuruwita route): 12km from the Villa (from a vehicle), then, 6km to the top (trek through the jungle)

Saman Dewalaya
The present shrine is said to have been built by a court minister in Dambadeniya era of Sri Lanka named Aryakamadeva, under the patronage of King Parakramabahu II, in 1270 AD.
The Perahara(Procession)
During the time that the Tooth Relic of Buddha was transferred to Delgamuwa Raja Maha Vihara, during wartime, King Parakramabahu VI’s[7] period, the Shrine held the Esala Perahara or the Procession of the Tooth Relic for 11 years. Later under King Rajasinghe, Saman Devala Perahara joined the Esala Perahara. Since then, the Maha Saman Devalaya hoists the Esala Perahara between July-August annually.

Diva Guhava (Cave Temple)
This historic cave is 150 feet long, 70 feet wide, 50 feet high and faces east. Due to this natural location, the cave is well lit until sunset. The place believed that the 500 monks, including the Buddha, spent the day on his visit to Sri Pada.
